I just got a phone call from an ex-girlfriend. She was in tears because her father died of prostate cancer. She had called me 2 weeks earlier to let me know that he had been diagnosed and that it had gone into his bones. Had it not gone into his bones, they would have never even known that he had it!
When I heard this, I said that I hope they aren’t going to treat him because once prostate cancer enters your bones you are pretty much a goner. That’s why prostate cancer is so dangerous and you need to get regular checkups from your doctor. While I am not a doctor and cannot give medical advice, there are wonderfully non-invasive diagnostic tools such as diagnostic ultrasound and the quasi-invasive endo-rectal MRI. I don’t recommend biopsies or anything where they stick needles or cut into the body. Like I said, I am not a doctor and I am not giving medical advice but plain common sense says that you don’t cut, stab or burn your manhood. You’ll need to use it again!
In the case of my ex-girlfriend’s father he himself was a doctor and smoked and drank himself into oblivion on a regular basis. He never took saw palmetto or any other prostate supplement. Even he didn’t want to treat his cancer, but went along with it to please family members. The treatments apparently gave him a heart attack. He felt it coming on, asked for one last cigarette, smoked it and dropped dead. At least he had a wonderful life and was quite the playboy!
